Nightshade Ceramics

I didn’t mean to recreate Mordecai and Rigby up on the banister. I promise. That raccoon was going to be a possum, but a raccoon fit the frame better. That bluejay was going to be a crow, but the crow looked like a blob with so little detail.

Here I was, feeling all proud and content in my animal choices, then my husband with a faster than light quickness immediately points out it's Mordecai and Rigby. :U

I am both too proud and too defeated to change these animals back to a possum and crow!

The mail courier fox adventure continues! These are the first and second:

Eventually I'd like to create a courier foxes kids book, where they're going around delivering things or something. I've had the bones for a book dummy but have hated every premise and location I've sketched for it; it's been remade multiple times. At some point I just gotta bite the bullet and present something to get the ball rolling.

I decided to save this one from the book dummy graveyard though and have been drawing on it over a few months. Decided this is the art to finish before not being able to draw for a little while. It's a little more polished than what I been slinging out the past few months, I think?

Reference image! It's a real place in France. I saw it and immediately wanted to paint foxes on it. :)
